About the Library
Sri Venkateswara College was set up in 1961. The college has a Main Library and 17 Departmental Libraries that collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes. The Library is fully automated and having a huge collection of books on sciences, social sciences, literature and languages (English, Sanskrit, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil). The college library is functioning with the objective of providing services to its members in order to promote educational excellence in Sri Venkateswara College.
The college library is functioning on the basis of an 'open access' system. It houses over one lakh twenty thousand book titles and subscribes to 65 journals/periodicals and 14 newspapers in four languages. The library also contains more than 250 educational CDs and about 20 sets of encyclopedia.
