Some of our students topped the Delhi University examinations and brought laurels to the College. Our ex - students are doing very well in life and many are shining in fields such as Airlines, Journalism, Charted Accounts, MNC's and some are settled in foreign countries.
Tamil Manrram
While the College was started in the year 1961, Tamil Manrram was also started by the then Tamil Lecturer Mrs. Kanaga Soundari Mahalingam. The office bearers of the Tamil Manrram such as President, Vice-President, Secretary and Joint Secretary are elected every year by the students of Tamil origin studying in the college. The activities of Tamil Manrram and the artistic creations of the students in the form of notices, articles, poems, paintings, caricature, jokes and tidbits were displayed in the Notice Board called "Ethiroli" (Echo).
There is an Editor and also a Sub-Editor for 'Ethiroli'. Delhi University Inter-college Debate and Music Competition were conducted every year till 2000. Rolling trophy for Tamil Debate and Meenakshi Sundararm memorial trophy for Tamil music competition were instituted by the Tamil Manrram. The winners in these competitions were given shields and certificates.
Department of Tamil conducts Tamil Manrram Annual Day Function every year in February. The Tamil Manrram holds various literary activities and annual lectures every academic year. Ms. Hari Vijaya Lakshmi, Retired Tamil Professor, G.V.G. College, Udumalpet, Dr. G. Raja Goplal, Reader in Tamil, Delhi University and Dr. S. Shunmuga Sundaram, Retired Tamil Professor in St. John's College, Bangalore, a well known Tamil scholar and a Publisher (Kaavya) visited Tamil Manrram and gave a lecture on a literary topic of interest.
The Tamil Manrram conducts literary competitions (Essay writing, Verse writing, Short-story writing, and other competitions such as singing, rangoli, elocution and quiz throughout the year. The contributions of the students covered contemporary issues, included essays on literature and grammar and highlighted social, political, economical, historical events and topics. Most of the contributions of the students are being published in the College Magazine 'Neerajana'. The winners in these competitions are awarded prizes and certificates in the Tamil Manrram Annual Day function.

In addition to the above, former Principals of the College, namely, Dr. K. Krishnamoorthy and Dr. A. Sankara Reddy, Vice-Principal Mrs. Sujatha Rao, faculty members of the college Dr. A. Anjaneyalu, Mr. S. Chandrasekhar, both from Telugu Department and Dr. V.C.S. Rao from Chemistry Department were also Chief Guests, who graced the Tamil Manrram Annual Day function.
