NSE's Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM)
Financial Markets are the nerve systems of the economy. It is essential to have the basic knowledge of Indian financial markets to understand the functioning of macro economy. The Department encourages students to take up the following modules offered by the National Stock Exchange. The Department conducts special lectures and provides overall guidance to the students for successful completion of these modules.

To get a basic understanding of the products, players and functioning of financial markets, particularly the capital market and to understand the terms and jargons used in the financial newspapers and periodicals.

RBI Young Scholars Award Scheme
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched (2007-08) the RBI Young Scholar Award Scheme to generate interest in and awareness about Indian banking sector and RBI. Under the scheme the RBI will select a maximum of 150 young scholars through a country wide competitive examination and award a scholarship.
Selection test will focus on the role and functions of RBI and banks in India and will be held in English and all other major languages. Undergraduates of all disciplines are eligible. Selected candidates will be required to work on projects in select offices of RBI for 2 to 3 months (Summer Internships).
