The WDC, in SVC, has actively provided counselling to students to make them aware of their own capabilities and potential while sensitizing them to various issues of society, especially gender issues. For this, a Counsellor has been appointed to help solve student problems.

The centre empowers women by helping to develop their skills by building their confidence and honing their latent leadership qualities. This is done through a series of seminars, debates, lectures, workshops, film screenings, theatre and self-defence training camps.
