For the aggregate, the following subjects will not be considered as one of 'Best of Four' subjects (for Honours and Pass courses): Basic Nutrition, Body Perfection, Calligraphy, Commercial Art, Cooking, Cosmetic Chemistry & Beauty Care, Cutting & Stitching, Dance, Domestic Science, Fine Arts, Food Preparation, Food Preservation, Graphics, Hair Dressing, Home Economics, Library Science, Music, Painting, Physical Education, Salesmanship, Sculpture, Textile Designing, Typing, Weaving, Applied Arts, Dance, Agriculture etc.

In addition to the declared cut off percentages the following additional requirements/criteria will also be followed:

Should have passed English in Class XII. Students from all streams may apply. For merit purposes the aggregate of English or one language and three best relevant subjects will be considered.

Different Cut offs for Humanities, Commerce and Science. Should have passed English and Mathematics in Class XII. Students from all streams may apply. For merit purposes the aggregate of English or one language and three best relevant subjects will be considered.
2.
Economics
Different cut-offs for Humanities, Commerce and Science. The aggregate of English or one language and three best subjects. Students from all streams may apply. Mathematics must be one of the elective  Subjects. English should be have been passed in Class XII.

3.
English
Different cut-offs for Humanities, Commerce and Science. Functional English will be considered at par with Core English. ISC English   will be taken at par with CBSE Elective English.   An elective second language/language  subject may be one of the best four. Elective English and ISC with higher English literature content will be given weightage.
4.
Hindi
Students should have studied English up to Class XII. The aggregate of English and/or Hindi and any two/three best relevant subjects.
5.
History /Political Science/ Sociology
The aggregate of English or any other language and three other elective subjects. The candidate should have passed English in Class XII.
6.
Sanskrit
The aggregate of English and/or Sanskrit and any two/three best relevant subjects. Students who have done Sanskrit up to Class X may be considered
7.
BSc Mathematics
The best of English or any other language and three other relevant subjects, or PCM, including Computer Science. Mathematics will be necessary for merit purposes.
8.
BSc Statistics
Students from all the streams (Science, Humanities and Commerce) may apply provided they have passed Mathematics in Class XII. For merit purposes Mathematics will be taken into account.
9.
BSc Life Sciences/Botany/Zoology
The aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Biotechnology (PCB or PCBt).
10.
Chemistry/Physics/Electronics/Mathematics
The aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).
11.
Biochemistry/Biological Sciences
The aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology or Biotechnology (PCMB or PCMBt)
12.
B.A. PROGRAMME 
Best of four (including one language) and three relevant subjects. English should have been passed in Class XII.
